DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Rural Grocery Initiative at Kansas State University\, in partnership with the Hunger Solutions Institute at Auburn University\, the National Rural Grocery Summit will be held June 24-25 in Montgomery\, Alabama. Please confirm dates and times with event organizers. \nOpening Keynote Speaker: John Ross\, President & CEO\, IGA Inc. \nJohn Ross is responsible for domestic and global operations for IGA\, the world’s largest independent supermarket network with nearly 6\,500 IGA supermarkets in more than 30 countries worldwide. At the summit\, John will discuss changes in the global and U.S. economies and suggestions for how retailers can modify their store offerings and marketing to keep pace with changing shopper demands. \nEarly Bird Registration Rates (through 4/30): \n\nRural Grocer Registration (up to 2 per store): FREE\nGeneral Registration: $275\n\nLate Registration Rates (starting 5/1): \n\nLate Grocer Registration: $175\n\nLate Registration: $325 \nOptional Tours \nTours will be offered on the afternoon of Day 2 (June 25) and will highlight local rural grocery stores and food access projects.
