DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Field Day and webinar events! \nThese in-person and virtual events are a great opportunity for farmers and growers–from aspiring to seasoned–and anyone interested in regenerative agriculture to connect\, learn from experts\, and see innovative farming practices in action. Each Field Day offers practical knowledge and a chance to build community with fellow growers in the greater St. Louis region. \nIn Person Field Day Event: \nTyrean Lewis\, also known as Heru\, established Heru Urban Farming in 2019 with permanent beds and no-till practices\, utilizing compost\, mulch\, and cover crops to maintain moisture and improve soil health. \nWhether you’re working an urban plot\, backyard garden\, or multiple acres\, learn how to use cover crops to restore soil health\, add nutrients naturally\, control erosion\, and prep for a thriving next season. \nThis workshop will focus on the benefits of cover crops\, seed choices\, when to seed and terminate\, termination methods\, lessons learned from cover cropping\, and how to acquire funding through NRCS programs to implement cover crops on your land. \nLight snack and refreshments will be provided at the end of the event. \nFor more information\, please visit: Field Day at Heru Urban Farming – Known & Grown STL
