SUMMARY:Field Day: MOshrooms Regenerative Microfarm - Zero Waste Agriculture Project: Utilizing mulch and compost to improve soil health
DESCRIPTION:Danielle Meert began her zero waste agriculture project in 2019. She converted two plots\, one suburban and one urban\, into edible landscapes with moveable hot compost piles and uses compost and deep mulch to raise mushrooms\, fruits\, and herbs. \nMOshrooms Regenerative Microfarm packs a lot into a little space\, including swales\, pollinator borders\, vertical growing\, three compost styles\, and three rainwater harvesting/management systems. \nThis workshop will focus on turning food waste into nutrient-rich compost\, how it’s utilized\, and the water-saving benefits of mulch in creating a sustainable growing area of any size. \nLight snack and refreshments will be provided at the end of the event. \nFor more information\, please visit: Field Day at MOshrooms Regenerative Microfarm – Known & Grown STL
