DESCRIPTION:When: October 7 & 9\, 2024 (2.5 days) \nWhere: Eckles Event Hall\, 1406 E Rollins St.\, Columbia\, Missouri 65201 \nFormat: In person \nThe National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF)\, USDA\, and FDA highly recommend implementing an HACCP plan in a food processing plant to ensure food safety from harvest to consumption. \nDr. Lakshmikantha ‘Kantha’ Channaiah\, state extension specialist in food processing and an assistant professor in the MU College of Agriculture\, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) will lead the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) training. \nThis in-person course helps food professionals learn the latest food safety issues that affect their products as well as how to develop an effective HACCP plan. \nRegistration cost: $500. \nThis event is limited to 30 participants. \nAn early bird discount of $50 for registrants who register before September 30\, 2024. \nRegistration link: https://extension.missouri.edu/events/haccp-workshop-0 \nChannaiah is a leading food safety expert with more than 20 years of experience in teaching\, training\, and research.
